  Dr. Jeff Langford

  M.D., A.E.-C.

  Jeffrey Langford, M.D., A.E.-C., is a fellowship trained allergist who has practiced locally for years and has the experience of thousands of patient interactions. Dr. Langford is allergic, asthmatic, and is treated with allergy shots himself, so he understands the frustration and struggles of wanting to live a normal, active life in spite of these ailments. He takes his responsibility of educating patients on the causes, treatments, and preventative measures of allergies, asthma, and immunologic diseases very seriously, and spends a great deal of time in this effort face-to-face with patients. Dr. Langford is familiar with the importance of sports in childhood development as he was raised in a sports-loving family. He believes that comprehensive allergy and asthma care can lead to better performance on many levels and especially in sports-related activities. Dr. Langford attended the University of Georgia where he studied microbiology and received his Bachelor of Science. He graduated in 1998 and shortly after attended The Medical College of Georgia where he received his M.D. in 2002. He then completed his residency program in Internal Medicine also in Augusta. He completed his Allergy and Immunology fellowship at The Medical College of Georgia in 2008 and moved to Macon, close to his childhood home of Dublin, Georgia. He has been a practicing allergist for over ten years, now building his own practice from the ground up, and has also worked as a hospitalist for Cogent Healthcare at the Medical Center of Central Georgia. Dr. Langford has two sons – Alan and Griffin. He enjoys spending time with his kids, playing baseball and soccer, fishing with his sons, and the occasional hunting trip. And yes, it appears that his sons are allergic as well. While old dogma would hold that newborns must see several seasons before developing seasonal allergies, you should have seen young Griffin’s first summer in the grass. Dr. Langford is a season ticket holder for the Georgia Bulldogs football team and enjoys cheering on his Bulldogs, win or lose. Georgia is home and Dr. Langford has not strayed far from his roots. He enjoys an occasional Sunday afternoon trip to Juliette for fried green tomatoes, Georgia Bob’s barbecue, and Bryan’s Subs in Dublin – but don’t bring it up unless you have ten minutes to talk!

  Mia Kilby

  FNP-C

  Mia has been with Langford Allergy since 2014. She received her undergraduate degree in child and family development, and she earned her bachelor’s degree and master’s degree in nursing from Georgia College and State University. During a typical day at Langford Allergy, Mia enjoys seeing and treating patients and offering hands-on, personalized asthma and allergy care. Outside of work, Mia loves spending time with her family and being outdoors. She is a huge UGA fan.

  Jennifer Hames

  PA-C

  Jennifer Hames has a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Chemistry with a minor in Psychology from Piedmont College in Demorest, Georgia. She also has a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from South University in Savannah, Georgia. Jennifer’s first job in the industry was in 2007, working in Gastroenterology for Dr. William Fackler at the Medical Center of Central Georgia. In 2009, she began working for Dr. Richard Ackermann and Dr. Florence Baralatei in Geriatrics and Palliative Medicine. During her time in this position, she worked the inpatient palliative service and outpatient geriatrics. In 2015, Jennifer joined the Langford Allergy team. Jennifer holds certification through NCCPA, which is the national certifying body and licensure through the Composite State Board of Medical Examiners. She is a member of the Georgia Association of Physician Assistants (GAPA), American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA), and Women’s Association of Physician Assistants (WAPA). Outside of work, Jennifer devotes most of her time to family and friends. She and her husband Jeff have been married for 13 years and have three children, Chase, Sawyer, and Lynley. Of course, the family wouldn’t be complete without their sweet dogs, Luke and Leia. Jennifer is an avid UGA fan, and does her best to never miss a game (Go Dawgs!). Additionally, the Hames family is very involved in their church, Southside Baptist Church in Warner Robins. “I am excited to be practicing medicine here and to have an opportunity to give back to the community that has given me so much.”

  Christi McPherson

  FNP-C

  Christi started working at Langford Allergy as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) in 2016 after several years of experience as a Registered Nurse and NP. She received her bachelor’s degree from Georgia Southern University in 1992 and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Georgia College in 1996. In 2013, Christi completed her Master of Science in Nursing-FNP at Georgia College & State University. Christi is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. Outside of work she loves spending time with her family and friends, reading a good book, and shopping for great bargains.

  Jaime Floyd

  FNP-C

  Jaime Floyd was born in San Antonio, Texas, where she lived until age 12. Her family then relocated to the Middle Georgia area. Jaime studied at Macon State College and received her Associate Degree in Nursing in 2010, and then she continued to receive her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing in 2013. Jaime worked for a few years in the hospital setting, then began graduate school at Georgia College & State University, where she graduated with a Master of Science Degree in Nursing in May 2020. She became certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner shortly after graduation. Jaime started at Langford Allergy in November 2020 as a Nurse Practitioner and has worked at all locations. Jaime loves spending time with her family – they enjoy traveling and seeing new places. Throughout her adult life, she has held volunteer roles and looks forward continuing to give back to her community.

  Jamey Smith

  BSN-RN

  Jamey Smith was born and raised in Milledgeville, Georgia, and received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from Georgia College and State University in 2004. Jamey started working for the Langford Allergy team in September of 2016. Her career with Langford began as floor nurse. She was then promoted to her current position of Clinical Nurse Manager. Jamey is the mother of 11-year-old Ellie and enjoys watching her daughter play sports. Jamey is a member of First United Church of Milledgeville and spends her spare time enjoying outside activities with her family.
